Short fiber yarn, method for producing same, and fabric containing said short fiber yarn

The present invention relates to a short fiber yarn containing 15-85% by mass of polypropylene fibers and 15-85% by mass of polyester fibers, the short fiber yarn comprising an untwisted fiber group in an untwisted state and a wound fiber group wound around the untwisted fiber group, and the porosity of the short fiber yarn being 60% or less. The short fiber yarn can be produced by preparing a sliver containing 15-85% by mass of polypropylene-based fibers and 15-85% by mass of polyester-based fibers during vortex air spinning, feeding the sliver to a drafting zone and drafting the sliver, and spinning and winding the sliver under the conditions of a nozzle pressure of 0.4-0.65 MPa and a spinning speed of 250-400 m/min.
