The invention discloses a circuit breaker operation state diagnosis method, which comprises the following steps of: installing a plurality of sensors on a circuit breaker, extracting the characteristics of a sampling signal of a vibration sensor by utilizing a wavelet noise reduction theory and a wavelet packet decomposition algorithm, and extracting the characteristics of a circuit breaker stroke-time characteristic signal acquired by a displacement sensor; and determining the membership degree of the monitored circuit breaker belonging to different operation states in combination with the typical feature vectors stored in the fault feature library.
