Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a melt-spun polylactic acid antibacterial fiber and a preparation method thereof, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: 1, respectively drying polylactic acid particles and thymol powder, and respectively weighing according to the mass fraction; 2, mixing and extruding: respectively adding the weighed polylactic acid particles and thymol powder into a screw extruder for melt blending, cooling in a water bath, and curing into filaments; 3, feeding the cured filaments into a granulator, cutting the filaments into master batches, and drying the master batches in an air dry oven according to the temperature gradient for 12-24 hours; and 4, feeding the dried master batch into a single-screw extruder, spraying out from a spinning nozzle, carrying out air bath at a certain height, drafting by a pair of hot drafting rollers, and winding to obtain the polylactic acid antibacterial fiber subjected to tensile deformation.
