The robot includes: a power source; and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting the output of the power source, the power transmission mechanism comprising: a fixed member; a first pulley that rotates about a first axis with respect to the fixed member; a second pulley disposed separately from the first pulley and rotating about a second axis parallel to the first axis with respect to the fixed member; a belt that is wound around the first pulley and the second pulley and transmits rotation of one of the pulleys to the other of the pulleys; a restricting member having a restricting portion disposed facing the belt with a gap therebetween at a portion where the first pulley is engaged with the belt; and a screw, the central axis of which is along the first axis and which fixes the restricting member to the fixing member, and the separation distance between the rest
