Zusammenfassung: | A mounting system for a heliostat is provided that allows the heliostat to move relative to two orthogonal axes to track the sun. The mounting system has features that allow heliostats to precisely move about these axes even in harsh environments and in the event of degradation of various components during long-term operation. Embodiments of the mounting system may have a frame that supports a plurality of mirrors and transfers forces from the mirrors to a plurality of hubs that move about a circular orbit. One of the hubs may include a smaller number of contact points to accommodate a less circular orbit. Further, an actuator that moves the hub around the circular track may be biased into the track to accommodate a less circular track.
