The present invention relates to a molding assembly comprising: a foaming mold comprising a first part and a second part, the first part and the second part when assembled together defining a molding inner cavity; a decorative front portion of the instrument panel; and a support portion of the instrument panel including a first rupturable flap for allowing the passenger airbag to eject when inflated during a collision. The support portion is attached to the first portion and the trim front portion is attached to the second portion such that an inner space is defined between the support portion and the trim front portion. The support portion includes a plurality of slots and the first portion includes a plurality of perforated tabs through the slots. The slots are distributed to conform to the perforated web defining a line of weakness about at least a portion of the first rupturable flap profile, and the longitudinal length of the perforated tab is greater than the depth of the slots such that a portion of th
