Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a tomato plant comprising, in the genome of the tomato plant, a QTL conferring improved resistance of the plant to tomato brown crinkled fruit virus relative to a corresponding plant lacking said QTL wherein the QTL is introgressed from the Goose tomato gene and found in a chromosomal region on chromosome 9 defined by SNP TO-0201220 (SEQ ID NO. 1) and an SNP having SEQ ID NO: 101, or within a chromosome region on chromosome 11 defined by a marker having SEQ ID NO: 102 and 115. The QTLs may be selected from the group consisting of those present in the genome of a plant having a seed LVSTBRFVRES2NCIMB preservation number of 43591. The QTL is preferably characterized by determined alleles of different SNPs on a No.9 chromosome or a No.11 chromosome. The invention also relates to parts and progeny of these plants with improved resistance to use these plants to introgression improved resistance in another genetic context, and to different methods for obtaining tomato plants or seed
