The invention provides a river sediment content detection device. The river sediment content detection device comprises a rack, a filtering mechanism, a rotating mechanism, an air drying mechanism, a cleaning mechanism and a control unit. The filtering mechanism comprises a filtering barrel, a stirring structure, a wastewater tank and a filtering net. A water outlet and an air inlet are formed in the filtering barrel, and a waste water tank is arranged below the water outlet. The stirring structure is arranged on the filtering barrel, and a waste liquid opening is formed in the stirring structure. A gravity sensor is further arranged on the filtering mechanism and used for monitoring the weight of the filtering barrel. The rotating mechanism is connected with the filtering barrel through a clamp and is used for driving the filtering barrel to rotate. The rotating mechanism comprises a hollow shaft communicated with the air inlet. The air drying mechanism conveys hot air into the filtering barrel through the h
