Medical Pt-W alloy

The present invention relates to a Pt-W alloy for medical use, which contains W in an amount of 10 to 15% by mass (inclusive), with the remainder comprising Pt and unavoidable impurities, and which has a Zr content of 1000 ppm or less. By limiting the Zr content, the processability, in particular the processability in the hot working stage, is improved. In addition, with regard to the control of the impurities, more suitable processability can be obtained by setting the Ca content to 250 ppm or less.
