Self-righting articles, such as self-righting capsules for administration to a subject, are generally provided. In some embodiments, the self-centering article may be configured such that the article may be oriented relative to the surface itself. The self-centering articles described herein may include one or more tissue-engaging surfaces configured to engage with a surface. In some embodiments, the self-centering article may have a particular shape and/or density distribution, which, for example, enables self-centering behavior of the article. In some embodiments, the self-centering article may comprise a tissue engaging component and/or an agent. In some cases, after tissue is in contact with a tissue engaging surface of the article, the self-righting article may be configured to release one or more tissue engaging components.
