A robot control system includes: a robot control device for controlling a robot; and a teaching operation board connected to the robot control device and operated by an operator. The robot control device includes: a storage unit that stores system software of the robot control device; a function addition unit that adds and deletes functions to and from the system software; a switching unit which is provided on the teaching operation panel and which sets the operation of the function adding unit to be valid or invalid; and a function control unit that, when the operation of the function addition unit is set to be active by the switching unit, enables addition and deletion of the function by the function addition unit, and, when the operation of the function addition unit is set to be inactive by the switching unit, enables addition and deletion of the function by the function addition unit.
