The electrode wire comprises a core material; the middle layer is positioned outside the core material; the surface layer is arranged outside the middle layer; the core material is metal or alloy; the middle layer comprises a gamma-phase copper-zinc alloy layer, and the surface layer intermittently covers the gamma-phase copper-zinc alloy layer; the [gamma]-phase copper-zinc alloy layer has a bulk [beta]-phase and/or [beta] '-phase copper-zinc alloy at its interface with the skin layer.
