The invention aims to solve the problems of poor preparation formability due to poor nailing continuity and high hardness caused by small weight of a wire disc and the problem of cracking during rivet heading caused by non-uniformity of a structure. The method comprises the following steps: heating a 7XXX aluminum alloy cast ingot, preserving heat, air-cooling to room temperature, sawing and turning, heating, and rolling in a hot rolling mill; and then annealing and drawing are conducted, and the 7XXX aluminum alloy rivet wire for aerospace is obtained.
