Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a motor-driven dynamic shade (202a, 202b) disposed in an isolation glass (IG) unit and an associated method. A spacer system (106) facilitates maintaining first and second substrates (102, 104) in a substantially parallel spaced apart relationship from each other and defining a gap (108) between the first and second substrates. The shade (506) and the motor (502) are disposed in the gap (108). A motor (502) disposed proximate a first peripheral edge of the IG unit is dynamically controllable to extend the shade (506) toward a second peripheral edge of the IG unit opposite the first peripheral edge and to retract the shade from the second peripheral edge toward the first peripheral edge. The shade may be electrostatically coupleable to one of the first and second substrates (102, 104) via complementary electrostatic connection regions disposed to the shade and one of the first and second substrates when the shade extends.
