Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a positive electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same. Provided is a positive electrode capable of achieving high capacity and high output in a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. A positive electrode disclosed herein includes a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer supported by the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode active material layer contains, as a positive electrode active material, particles of a lithium composite oxide having a layered structure. The porosity of the positive electrode active material layer is 17%-20%.
