Viral nucleoproteins and formulations comprising same

The present invention relates to nucleoproteins comprising a ribonucleic acid (RNA) and a protein of viral origin wherein the RNA content is greater than 20% (mass: mass) and said RNA is protected from degradation within the virus-like structure, and wherein said nucleoproteins simultaneously activate the innate immune receptors TLR3, TLR2, TLR7, TLR8 and TLR9. The invention also relates to the use of said nucleoprotein for the preparation of a medicament for enhancing an anti-infection, anti-tumor or anti-allergic response, or for activating and training innate immunity in the prevention or treatment of an infection or allergic process. The nucleoprotein can be used in combination therapy with other drugs.
