Zusammenfassung: | The present invention addresses the problem of providing a magnetic tape in which there is little deterioration in electromagnetic conversion characteristics even if the magnetic tape travels repeatedly. A magnetic tape having a non-magnetic support and a magnetic layer containing a ferromagnetic powder. The magnetic tape contains a fluorine-containing compound in a portion on the magnetic layer side of a non-magnetic support, and the ratio [theta] r of a water contact angle measured on the surface of the magnetic layer after sliding with a magnetic head to a water contact angle measured on the surface of the magnetic layer before sliding with the magnetic head is 0.70 or more. The invention also discloses a tape cartridge and a tape device comprising the tape.
