APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING A TRANSMISSION CHANNEL

The invention provides an apparatus and method for measuring a transmission channel. The transmission channel is measured by transmitting a transmission signal including a plurality of data packets to a destination. The destination responds to the data packet by sending an acknowledgement message serving as a measurement result. The measurement results are then processed to delete possible quiet periods from the measurement results. Next, the processed measurement result is smoothed to delete irregularity, data burst, and the like from the processed measurement result.
