The invention discloses a self-service shooting clock-in system and method, the system comprises a clock-in system arranged on site and a cloud processing system connected with the clock-in system, the cloud processing system comprises a portrait processing system, a background processing system, a photo synthesis system and a video synthesis system; the portrait processing system extracts a portrait picture or a portrait video from the image uploaded by the clock-in system through an image processing algorithm; the background processing system selects a refined background configured by a background or a real-time background shot by a plurality of clock-in systems as a video synthesis resource; the photo synthesis system synthesizes the portrait photo and the selected background into a photo; and the video synthesis system synthesizes the portrait photo or portrait video and the background photo or background video into a video.
