Zusammenfassung:A method for controlling an alkaline secondary battery having a positive electrode having nickel hydroxide as an active material, a negative electrode containing a hydrogen storage alloy, and an electrolyte solution comprising an alkaline aqueous solution, the method comprising: a positive electrode potential estimation step (S2) in which the potential of the positive electrode is calculated and obtained at a fixed timing; an internal pressure estimation step (S4) in which the internal pressure of the alkaline secondary battery is calculated and obtained in synchronization with the timing; a loss amount calculation step (S7) for calculating a loss amount by integrating the dwell time of a state when the positive electrode potential is equal to or less than a threshold value a and the internal pressure is equal to or greater than a threshold value b; and a positive electrode protection step (S9) in which the positive electrode is protected at a point in time (S8: YES) when the loss amount calculated in the los
