Zusammenfassung:	A frame assembly for an automobile and a method of assembling the frame assembly. The frame assembly includes a battery housing at least partially integral with an automotive frame. The frame includes a stringer extending between a front frame rail and a rear frame rail. The battery case includes two parts: an upper cover integral with the stringer and a base plate connected to the upper cover or the stringer by a releasable connection. The substrate includes a connection flange including at least one seal.
