The invention discloses a non-contact gravel-doped clay horizontal uniaxial tensile test method which comprises the following steps: step 1, gravel-doped clay preparation: weighing clay with target water content according to the gravel doping amount, doping gravel into the clay, and fully stirring to form a gravel-doped clay mixture; 2, the dumbbell-shaped mold is assembled, specifically, the fixed section, the tension section and the movable section are connected, and the movable section, the fixed section and the tension section are detachably connected in a smooth transition mode; step 3, sample preparation: filling gravel-doped clay into a cavity of the dumbbell-shaped mold by adopting a layered compaction method, and sealing the dumbbell-shaped mold; step 4, tensile test: suspending the dumbbell-shaped mold and the sample by using a suspension ring, disassembling a shell of a tensile section, and stretching the sample; and step 5, making n standard samples by adopting the step 3, carrying out a tensile t
