Zusammenfassung:There is provided a method of producing a tea product, the method comprising: providing fresh intact tea leaves; putting the tea leaves into a press and pressing the leaves, thereby producing a tea juice and a leaf residue, while applying steam to the outside of the press such that the steam contacts the juice when the juice exits the press; collecting juice; and processing the leaf residue to produce black tea. A green tea product obtainable by the process of the invention is also provided.
