The high-content pearlite thick large-section gray cast iron is prepared from the following components: 92.66-93.88% of Fe; 2.90% to 3.10% of C; 1.60% to 1.80% of Si; 0.80% to 1.00% of Mn; p: less than or equal to 0.050%; s: 0.070% to 0.090%; 0.70% to 1.10% of Cu; and 0.05% to 0.20% of Sn. The gray cast iron with good mechanical property and metallographic structure is obtained by adopting a proper alloy element proportion, combining a simple preparation process and carrying out multiple inoculation, the gray cast iron is suitable for thick and large-section gray cast iron with the blank weight being greater than or equal to 3000kg and the wall thickness being 100-400mm, the pearlite content is greater than 90%, and the A-type graphite content is greater than or equal to 90%.
