PRINTING APPARATUS, PLACEMENT PART, AND MOVEMENT CONTROL METHOD

The invention provides a printing device, a carrying part and a movement control method, wherein a printing head can be automatically configured to a position suitable for a sealing cover. A printing apparatus (1) includes: an apparatus main body (100) having an opening (21) on a surface facing a printing target during printing; a print head (41) having a discharge section (411) and performing printing on a printing target; a head moving mechanism (45) that moves the print head (41) to a first position and a second position different from the first position; a support body (200) as a mounting part, which can be separated from the apparatus main body (100) and has a protection part (201) for protecting the ejection part (411) of the print head (41) at a position corresponding to the opening part (21); and a light receiving unit (12) as a detection unit that detects whether the device main body (100) and the support body (200) are close to each other or away from each other. The head moving mechanism (45) moves
