Automated cleaning machine process using shortened cycle time

An automated cleaning machine may include one or more short cleaning cycles, wherein the duration of the cleaning cycle is shortened relative to the duration of a default cleaning cycle. Other cleaning cycle parameters may also be adjusted during a short cleaning cycle to ensure that articles undergoing the short cleaning cycle are sufficiently cleaned and disinfected. For example, wash temperature, rinse temperature, and/or cleaning product amount or concentration may be adjusted to address a shortened duration of the cleaning cycle.
