The research finds that cerebral cortex epilepsy-like discharge induced by 4-AP is related to increase of ZIP1, the increase of ZIP1 can cause reduction of membrane protein expression of GluA2, and knock-down of ZIP1 can inhibit reduction of 4-AP induced GluA2 membrane expression. Therefore, the research proves that the ZIP1 is a key protein related to epilepsy, and the severity and severity of epilepsy can be reduced by inhibiting the ZIP1.
