Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed herein is a sucker rod guide with low friction and high wear resistance. A sucker rod guide longitudinal body, the longitudinal body being uniformly made of a copper-nickel-tin alloy and having a first end, a second end, a body outer diameter, and a smooth inner bore, the copper-nickel-tin alloy extending from the first end to the second end and adapted to engage the smooth inner bore of a sucker rod, the copper-nickel-tin alloy comprising: 5 wt% to 20 wt% nickel; from 5 wt% to 10 wt% of tin; and from 70 wt% to 90 wt% of copper. The outer surface of the guide may include a groove extending between the two ends. In a particular embodiment, the guide is made by joining together two identical guide segments. In other embodiments, the guide is a single unitary piece molded around the sucker rod.
