The invention discloses a finishing device for papermaking and a finishing method thereof.The finishing device comprises a mounting frame, a finishing roller, a finishing net and a water absorption device, the finishing net is fixed to the working face of the finishing roller, and meanwhile a plurality of water absorption holes are further formed in the finishing roller; the water absorption device is arranged on the mounting frame and is connected with the inner cavity of the finishing roller, so that local vacuum is formed in the inner cavity of the finishing roller; during use, the finishing roller is driven by an external paper output cylinder mould to rotate, pushes the finishing net to extrude paper to finish finishing through the gravity of the finishing roller, absorbs and accumulates the extruded water, and finally pulls away the accumulated water through the water absorption device, so that the water content of the finishing net is controlled; through cooperation of the finishing net and the water a
