The embodiment of the invention provides a device, protection equipment and method for ground wire section insulation, and the device comprises a ground wire support which is used for hanging a ground wire; the first lightning protection and icing flashover prevention insulator comprises a first branch, a second branch and a third branch which are fixedly connected; and the second anti-thunder and anti-icing flashover insulator comprises a first lightning arrester and is used for reducing damage caused by lightning stroke of the segmented ground wire. According to the technical scheme, the icing ground wire segment is separated from the whole ground wire through the first anti-thunder and anti-icing flashover insulator and the second anti-thunder and anti-icing flashover insulator, so that sectional insulation of the ground wire is realized, and insulation damage to the surface of the insulator caused by direct discharge of the ground wire to a tower due to thunder and lightning overvoltage can be prevented;
