The method comprises the following steps: S1, collecting a dolomite sample, selecting the same section, and respectively preparing a common slice, a cathode luminescence slice and an electronic probe slice; s2, observing the size, the structure and the form of the dolomite crystal under transmission light of a microscope; s3, observing the internal characteristics of the dolomite grains in a cathode luminescence instrument; s4, in the back scattering image of the electronic probe instrument, further identifying the girdle and structural characteristics of the dolomite crystal, and testing the change condition of main elements from the inside to the outside of the dolomite by using a spot scanning and/or line scanning function; and S5, integrating the results obtained in the steps S2 to S4, performing classification analysis, and identifying the dolomite formation mecha
