System and method for logic circuit replacement with configurable circuit

Methods and systems are provided for protecting a circuit design of an integrated circuit. A logic circuit to be replaced is identified in at least a portion of the circuit design. Logic circuitry in a circuit design is replaced with a bitstream and configurable circuitry including memory circuitry. A converted circuit design including configurable circuitry is generated for an integrated circuit.
