The invention provides a differential mechanism shell and a differential mechanism assembly, and relates to the field of vehicle manufacturing, the differential mechanism shell comprises a base plate and a connecting center plate which are connected, the base plate and the connecting center plate jointly define an assembling cavity used for assembling a gear transmission module, and the connecting center plate is provided with an assembling opening and a first positioning through hole which are both communicated with the assembling cavity; the edge thickness of the connecting center plate corresponding to the position of the assembly port is not less than the thickness of the other positions of the connecting center plate; a half shaft penetrates through the first positioning through hole. By improving the structure of the connecting center plate, the structural strength of the edge position of the differential mechanism shell can be enhanced, the impact load resistance of the differential mechanism shell is
