A computer-implemented method and apparatus for determining a size or distance of a head feature is provided. The method includes identifying a plurality of features in a head image of a person. A probability distribution of a real size of at least one of the plurality of features and a pixel size of the at least one of the plurality of features are used to determine a pixel size of the at least one of the plurality of features.
