The invention relates to a wharf personnel path prediction method and system, and the method comprises the steps: extracting the historical time information and residence time information of a positioning card when the positioning card arrives at one or more target sites according to a card data package and positioning coordinate data; inputting the historical time information into a back propagation neural network prediction model to solve the prediction time of one or more target locations where the positioning card is about to arrive; and searching positioning coordinate data of the positioning card which is newly solved in a local positioning server within a time error range before and after the prediction time of the target location so as to monitor whether a person carrying the positioning card reaches the target location within a position error range.
