Zusammenfassung: | Provided is a method for producing calcium barium titanate in which calcium is uniformly dissolved in a solid state and which has fine particles. A method for producing a perovskite-type compound, which is characterized by producing a perovskite-type compound represented by general formula (1) Ba (1-x) AxTiO3 (1) (in formula (1), A represents Ca or Sr; x is 0.0001 to 0.0001; and x is greater than or equal to 0.30. This method for producing a perovskite-type compound is characterized by comprising: a first step in which barium titanate is washed with an acid such that the ratio of elemental barium to elemental titanium is less than 1.00; a second step in which the barium titanate obtained in the first step and a calcium salt or strontium salt are mixed and dried to obtain a dried mixture; and a third step for heat-treating the dried mixture obtained in the second step.
