The algorithm comprises the following steps: S1, inputting a captured edible fungus block mass image; s2, preprocessing the image; s3, performing high contrast reservation on the culture dish area image; s4, retrieving the edible mushroom block mass again; s5, searching a maximum inscribed circle and defining the maximum inscribed circle as a seed point; s6, carrying out kernel watershed segmentation on the image according to all the seed points to obtain cut edible mushroom blocks; and S7, analyzing phenotypic information of the edible mushroom block mass. According to the method, all judgment threshold values are automatically generated after the edible fungus cenobium image is analyzed, and the generated result has uniqueness.
