The invention provides a seat reservation method and device, and the method comprises the steps: judging whether a picture checking request is a one-person multi-seat picture checking request or not after the picture checking request from an upstream system is received; if yes, obtaining an initial flight seat map matched with the map checking request from the departure system; setting an initial flight seat map according to a preset seat presale control rule to obtain a target flight seat map, and returning the target flight seat map to an upstream system, so that the upstream system determines a to-be-reserved one-person multi-seat seat number from the target flight seat map; and receiving a seat reservation request carrying the one-person multi-seat number sent by the upstream system, and performing seat reservation based on the seat reservation request. According to the seat reservation method provided by the invention, the user can perform one-person multi-seat reservation on an online upstream system, t
