| Zusammenfassung: | A treadmill protective cover (208) and method of use are disclosed. An exemplary system includes a protective cover (202) for a treadmill; a sensor associated with the treadmill or the protective cover (202), the sensor detecting when an object is near or inside an entrainment area between the protective cover (202) and a conveyor belt of the treadmill; and a controller configured to receive a signal from the sensor, to allow free operation of the conveyor belt when no object is sensed within the entrainment area, and to stop the conveyor belt when an object is sensed within the entrainment area.
