The sliding rail applied to photography and video recording comprises a base, a holder sliding block, a main control bin, a locking control bin and a power device. The base is provided with two sliding rods which are parallel to each other and are arranged at an interval; the holder sliding block is arranged on the sliding rod in a sliding manner; the main control bin and the locking control bin are arranged at the two ends of the sliding rod correspondingly. The power device comprises a driving part, a driving wheel, a driven wheel and a conveying belt; the driving part is installed in a bin body of the main control bin, the driving wheel is rotationally arranged in the bin body of the main control bin, and the driven wheel is rotationally arranged in a bin body of the locking control bin; the driving part is in driving connection with the driving wheel.
