Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for effectively removing hexavalent chromium by using pyrogallic acid modified nano zero-valent iron synthesized by a titration method, a pyrogallic acid-nano zero-valent iron complex is synthesized by the titration method, and hexavalent chromium ions are adsorbed to the surface of the nano zero-valent iron by using an electrostatic adsorption effect under an anaerobic condition. And then, the nano zero-valent iron containing pyrogallic acid modification reacts with the adsorbed hexavalent chromium to generate ferrous iron and chromium hydroxide. The hexavalent chromium can be reduced by the ferrous iron on the surface of the nano zero-valent iron to generate ferric iron and chromium hydroxide. The pyrogallic acid contains two adjacent phenolic hydroxyl groups which are coated on the surface of nano zero-valent iron, so that the generation of ferrous ions is influenced, but the adsorption capacity of hexavalent chromium ions on the surface of the material is enhanced.
