Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a non-volatile memory with optimized read. A non-volatile storage system that implements a storage region (e.g., persistent storage region) and a cache of the storage region that can be accessed by a host (e.g., via a PCIe connection) shares details of the structure of the storage region and/or the cache (e.g., cache segment size). By aware of sharing details of the structure of the storage area and/or the cache, the host arranges and issues requests to read data from the persistent storage area in a manner that leverages parallelism within the non-volatile storage system. For example, the host may initially issue a read request per cache segment to cause the non-volatile storage system to load the cache. Subsequently, an additional read request is made to the non-volatile storage system in which the data has been loaded (or begins to be loaded) in the cache, thereby improving performance.
