Process for producing mixed butanol and diisobutylene as fuel blending components

There is provided a process for hydrating and oligomerizing a hydrocarbon feed comprising mixed olefins by contacting the feed with water and a catalyst in a fixed bed reactor wherein the catalyst hydrates the mixed olefins to a mixed alcohol and oligomerizes the mixed olefins to oligomers; introducing the resulting stream into a first separator, the first separator separating the organic phase from the aqueous phase; introducing the organic phase into a second separator, the second separator separating unreacted olefins from the mixed alcohol/oligomer; introducing the aqueous phase into a third separator, wherein the third separator separates the alcohol-water azeotrope from the water; introducing the second stream into a fourth separator, the fourth separator separating the sec-butyl alcohol to produce a third stream comprising mixed butanol and oligomers and an SBA stream; f) mixing the third stream and the first portion of the SBA stream to produce a final product stream; and g) recycling a second portion
