Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a disk management method, electronic device and computer program product, the method comprising: determining a first disk set for providing redundant storage from a plurality of disks, the number of disks included in the first disk set being not less than a first threshold number, the first threshold number corresponds to the number of disks required by the independent redundant disk array; determining a candidate scheme based on the plurality of disks, wherein at least the first disk set is utilized in the candidate scheme to provide redundant storage; determining the unavailable capacity of the candidate scheme; and determining a target scheme for providing redundant storage based on the unavailable capacity and the candidate scheme.
