Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed is a method of polymerizing a fluoromonomer in an aqueous medium to form a fluoropolymer, the method comprising the steps of: (a) forming an aqueous solution in a polymerization reactor of a first surfactant combination comprising at least one fluorinated surfactant and at least one non-fluorinated surfactant; (b) pressurizing the polymerization reactor with the fluorine-containing monomer; (c) initiating a polymerization reaction of the fluorine-containing monomer to form the fluorine-containing polymer; (d) growth of the polymerization reaction, wherein a second surfactant of at least one fluorinated surfactant and at least one non-fluorinated surfactant is metered or dosed in combination into the polymerization reactor; and (e) terminating the polymerization reaction after consuming a desired amount of the fluorine-containing monomer.
