Encapsulated ratchet and method for manufacturing same

The hand tool includes an elongated plate-like steel core having a top surface and a bottom surface in parallel planes; a driving head formed at one end of the steel core and having a driving head cavity formed therein; the handle foot part extends from the driving head part to the other end of the steel core; the ratchet wheel assembly is arranged in the driving head cavity; and a first encapsulation layer covering the tang and the drive head but not covering at least a portion of the ratchet assembly.
