Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the technical field of analytical chemistry, and particularly discloses a method for detecting N-methylbenzylamine related substances. The detection method of the N-methylbenzylamine related substances comprises the following steps: taking a test sample N-methylbenzylamine, and adding methanol to dissolve the N-methylbenzylamine to prepare a test sample solution; taking a reference substance of the N-methylbenzylamine related substance, and adding methanol for dissolving to prepare a reference substance solution; and detecting the test solution and the reference solution by adopting a gas chromatographic method. The detection method provided by the invention can be used for accurately detecting related substances such as benzaldehyde, methyldibenzylamine, N-benzylidene methylamine and N, N-dimethyl benzyl in N-methylbenzylamine at the same time, and is high in specificity, low in detection limit and quantification limit, good in linear relation, high in recovery rate, good in repeatab
