The invention provides a cable assembly. The cable assembly comprises a cable core structure; the cable core structure is arranged in the inner protection layer; the composite reinforcing layer wraps the periphery of the inner protective layer, the composite reinforcing layer comprises a plurality of hollow connecting pipes and a high-strength fiber reinforcing layer, the plurality of hollow connecting pipes are arranged side by side in the circumferential direction on the peripheral side of the inner protective layer, the hollow connecting pipes are wound around the inner protective layer to form a framework structure, and the hollow connecting pipes are filled with gas; the periphery of the hollow connecting pipe is coated with the high-strength fiber reinforcing layer; and the outer protective layer is arranged on the periphery of the composite reinforcing layer. According to the technical scheme, the cable assembly can solve the problem that an existing tether cable assembly is low in compressive strength
