Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides a method for designing out-of-plane bending bearing capacity of a reinforced brick masonry wall with externally-pasted GFRP vertical strips. The reinforced brick masonry wall with the externally-pasted GFRP vertical strips structurally comprises a brick masonry wall, the GFRP vertical reinforcing strips, GFRP transverse anchoring strips and GFRP anchor bolts. The reinforcement design method comprises the following steps that the vertical load borne by the brick masonry wall and the plane outer bending moment design value are determined; the GFRP area is calculated according to a plane external flexural capacity formula; the GFRP reinforcement rate is rechecked, so that the GFRP reinforcement rate does not exceed the maximum reinforcement rate and is not smaller than the minimum reinforcement rate; and determining the number of the GFRP strips and the width and thickness of a single GFRP strip according to the GFRP area.
