Zusammenfassung:	An electric compressor contributes to further miniaturization of a scroll type electric compressor. A compression unit housing (13) having a first peripheral wall (13b) on which a fixed scroll (9) is disposed and a motor housing (15) are fastened by a plurality of fastening members. The first peripheral wall has a plurality of thin wall sections (131) and a plurality of thick wall sections (132) through which the fastening members are inserted. The fixed substrate (9a) has a plurality of recessed portions (91) on the outer peripheral surface thereof, the recessed portions (91) avoiding interference with the thick portions (11), and a plurality of protruding portions (92) on the outer peripheral surface thereof, the protruding portions (92) protruding further outward than the recessed portions (91) in the radial direction, the portions facing the thin portions (11) in the radial direction.
